Defensive Pistol 1

December 10 @ 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Gals holding up targets

This class is designed for both the handgun novice, experienced shooter, or anyone who wants to carry confidently & competently.

You wouldn’t pass your driving test one day and expect to win the Daytona 500 the next day. At Sequatchie School, we hear from folks time and again that “I have my permit”. Great! But do you know how to actually survive a defensive encounter?

The sad fact is a “Permit” doesn’t mean you know how to shoot. This class is designed for those who currently carry concealed, want to, or those who have never truly had professional training.

The AVERAGE gunfight in America is: less than 3 shots, at less than 3 yards, in less than 3 seconds. LESS THAN 9 FEET-AND ALL OVER IN UNDER 3 SECONDS!

This course starts with a class room portion on firearm safety, legalities of deadly force and proper mindset. We review shooting fundamentals, loading / unloading / reloading and then move to the range where we cover:

Weapon Selection
Weapon Manipulation
Picture Sight
Trigger Manipulation
Follow Through

If you have never had professional handgun instruction before, this is the class to start with. It is also the prerequisite for all of our more advanced handgun classes.

Required Equipment: Functional Pistol, any caliber. Semi-auto preferred, 2 Pistol Magazines, QUALITY Kydex or Leather Holster, 200 Rounds Pistol Ammo, Eye and Ear Protection, Weather Appropriate Clothing, Comfortable Shoes, Reusable Water Bottle & Snacks.

Registration : Secure spot with this $25 Non-Refundable Deposit. Remainder ($200) CASH ONLY due upon arrival. No Checks. No Cards.

We shoot rain or shine.
